竹細工への想い

長年使っているヘラ、菜箸、ニンニクを入れているカゴ
何も考えず当たり前のように使っていたものは・・・

地元別府を離れて世界中の質の良いものを販売する仕事に携わっていた頃
その良さを伝えながら、身近にどこにも引けを取らない素晴らしいものがあることをふと思い出した

ここ数年老舗の工場や職人の方々がどんどん製作を終了した話を聞く
その反面別府市内にある大分県竹工芸・訓練支援センターでは毎年技術者を輩出し続けている

なくなっていっているもの、新しく生まれているもの

私にできることがあるかもしれない

そんな想いで2015年小さなお店を作りました

ようこそbamboobambooへ

別府を中心に大分、九州県内で作られた竹製品を販売していますカゴ類は大分県竹細工・訓練支援センターを卒業され現在活躍されている作家、職人の皆さんが主に大分県の真竹を使って、１本ずつ竹ヒゴから丁寧に製作している作品です

使ってくださる方へ竹の愛情を込めてお贈りします

Our thoughts about bamboo craft

Bamboo turners that have been used for many years, chopsticks, bamboo baskets for vegetables, etc…
They used to be just ordinary utensils…

I used to live away from my hometown Beppu and sell high quality products selected from all over the world.
As I had handled these products, I came to realize that our local bamboo crafts are just as good as them.

Lately, more and more workshop has been closing down and many bamboo craftsmen are quitting their job. But still new craftsmen have been produced from Oita bamboo craft training center every year.

Some things are vanishing, other things are appearing.

Then I thought there must be something that I can do for this local bamboo craft industry…

These thoughts made me open this store in 2015.

We specialize in hand-made bamboo craft. Most of our products are made in Beppu, Oita and whole Kyushu area.
Basckets are made by craftsmen graduated from Oita bamboo craft training center. They make products from local bamboo.

We handle bamboo craft products with love.
